Gulash (Porkolt), Violin and Stories

The GulashConcert is a gastro-musical evening, which begins with the famous Hungarian dish: the gulash (pörkölt) with its traditional contour the “nokedli” or “galuska”(a sort of noodles).
I prepare myself the gulash with my original spices D.O.C. As well the nokedli and afterwords there is a concert of violin solo where the music is alterning with the speech:
between the musical pieces I'm telling jokes, anecdotes and little stories. All the melodies I play are traditional folk melodies from Hungary, Transylvanie, Roumanie, Bulgary and klezmer . A really
One-Man-Show! Like I do myself everything the show is not only cheap but nearly self-financing.
It's evident tha the shaw is functionning very well without gulash as well, but it would be pity to let ascape this occasion unique: to taste the Original Hungarian Gulash prepared by a Really Magiar Violinist! The GulashConcert I'm reciting notonly on Italian, but as well on flamish, german, french and naturally on ENGLISH language. Recitig it on hungarian language still now I never tried, but I think I could do it...

Violin and Stories

This sort of violin solo concert where the violinist (Janos) is playing violin and speaking. The program consists of traditional folk melodies from East Europe (Hungarian, Transylvanian, Roumanian, Boulgar and klezmer), that'is a imagined journey in the tradition of the Basin of The Carpates and its surroundings. It's not only a simple concert but even a show of entertainment where the artist between the melodies is telling jokes, anecdotes and little stories to the public.
And not only charmes his public with the tunes of his violin but also with his charming speaking style and funny Hungarian accent.

“In Fuga (escape) with Bach)”
- Pieces of the Cellosuites of Bach, transcripted for violin and anecdotes on Big German Composer.

The famous cellosuites of J.S. Bach are wonderfuls also on violin even that nobody use to play them. During the show I'm telling you which was inspireing me to enterprise this journay for discover newly the Great German Composer.
“In Fuga with Bach” is not only a simple violin concert, but a real play in which music and speech are alterning, pieces of the cellosuites with anecdotes and and little stories, legendes about the Great German Musician, and You'll be surprised to discovering how the music of Bach, the greatest composer of the seventeenth century is actual, modern, full with emotive charge which arrive directly into our hart!

The Magic Violin of East Europe and Christmas Stories

Telling jokes was a “must” for me from the beginnings, a sort of method for learning the Italian language. From here I got later the idea to create a play -which I'm interpreting alone - telling christmas stories between the violin pieces. In this case I'm performing a really One-Man-Shaw, playing wonderful songs of the traditional folkmusic of East Europe creating an ambient of Christmas telling my nicest souvenirs of Christmas from my childhood. The Christmas at that time was a little bit different as now it is: this was the intime, silently saint festivity of the family, without this histeric “sell and by everything”, without the hurleing publicity, sales and principal business of the globalisation in wwhich all trnasformed in for today.

“Musical Memories”

This project I created exactly for the “Memorial Day” (which is in Italy on 27th January). It's different from an ordinary violin concert, while between the hebrew priers and klezmer melodies I'm citing fragments of the small book of Zvi Kolitz: Yossl Rakover Revolts To Good. It was written during the last hours of the Warshavian Ghetto. The narrator – one of the last survivers still in life- , should been the tanùja of every sort of horrors: loosing his whole family, his wife, five childrens in terrible circumstances. Unic surviver of his family -but for only a short while- , lets for us his last thougts like a testament. Of course, it is a literary fiction, but a fiction in which we recognise with shocking perplexity our life.
Un program ideal for “The Day of Memory”! A journay between hebrew priers and klezmer melodies
as well than citations and poeems which are evoqing the tragedy of the eradicated people . On the cordes of my violin resounds of the nicest klezmer melodies and hebrew priers creating the ambient of recording.

“DiWine Violin!”

Like one could really invent of the title, the performance was invented exactly for the autumn, for the szuret (ventage?), it is a true hymne of the raisin, of the wine! Following the formule already proved, I'm telling things between the melodies: this time I take citations from the bookof Bela Hamvas: The Filosophy of the Wine. Do not think about a filosophy academic! These texts are borne in the euphorie of the end of the War, in a vinery of the collines of the North Balaton, this perle of the hungarian literature was written by Hamvas pratically in two weeks. And that the wine had a main rule in writing it becomes clear from his own words: “...And when the Muse was for lasting me, I got the bottle which was all the time near the legs of my seat and I got a big sors from it for making return my inspiration!”
Presenting a structure scientific, the book remains the festivity, the joy, compliment of the wine1 The East European and klezmer traditional violin folkmusic giv a worthy framemé to the citations and drinky jokes.

The Key of The Violin

For reading a book or for listening music it isn't necessary aparticulary preparation. Contrary of this, for reading music notes one needs a bit more: a key! This sort of key is offered now by our violinist guideing the public on a tour in the espace-time. The program musical proposed effectly embedded of generes very differents: classical -.pop – folkmusic. Though there alterns he pieces of Bach with songs of Beatles (on violin) and with traditional folkmelodies of Eastern Europe and klezmer. And the time factor than? - We start from the century and we arrive till now. And also in this case ther speech has a very important rule: jokes, anecdotes and short stories are colouring the performance.

At Byzance
- The story of Anne Comnena, Imperatrice of Romans.

A play of Lucilla Giagnoni and Emile Sioli with Lucilla Giagnoni and Janos Hasur (violin and viola) in it. An empire agonising, Keresztesek, the Turks and a dame who vanted to become imperatrice. An age which from a distance of 1000 years is very similair of ours.
Like the ancien empire Byzance, our Europe too, it founds pressed himself between two different worlds incredibly vitals: at West the Francs while in East the Islamic peoples. We enter with Lucilla Giagnoni in a fabulous world near unknown, made of intrics of palace, tortures, invaders, extream richness and mystical deliriums. With Anne Comnena we're discovering that the victims are changeing: today we'are who try to survive.

The Little man of The Dreams
(a puppet show with live music: hungarian violin, and viola)

This is a puppet show for little children with small marionetts, with three fairy tales and a little child in a craddle which is crying after his mother. The play is funny and peculiar becaus of the live music: the violinist is on the scene and actively participe in it.
